The Kutaisi Youth theatre
The Kutaisi Youth theatre was established in 1991.It is the first independent theatre in Georgia. It has been working without State subside. The main financial source is money earned from its theatre goers.
The director of the theatre is Zurab Pkhadze. The cast has been searching for innovations that has been reflected on the performances.The “Medea’ by Jean Anoye, ‘The father of others children ”by Alexendre Rekhviashvili, “Spring of Sadness” by Al. Kazbegi , “Don Juan” by J. Moliere and others were performed on its stage. The theatre has succeeded many international festivals held in the Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkey, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Span, Republic Dominicana Sudan Republic.
